Wilmslow Hockey Club is one of Cheshire’s leading community hockey clubs, providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy the sport in a welcoming and inclusive environment. With a thriving junior section, experienced volunteer coaches and a strong focus on player development, the club supports young people from their first introduction to hockey through to competitive league hockey. Its commitment to teamwork, enjoyment and personal development has made Wilmslow HC an important part of the local sporting community in Wilmslow for generations.
Meeting the Team
We were delighted to visit Wilmslow HC and meet Jim along with members of the wider club community. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the club, experience its welcoming atmosphere and see first-hand the dedication that goes into creating such a successful junior section. We were particularly impressed by the enthusiasm shown by players, parents and volunteers, making it clear why Wilmslow HC continues to thrive both on and off the pitch.
As part of our partnership, we were proud to sponsor the club’s end-of-season raffle, helping support an event that brought the hockey community together to celebrate another successful year. At Breakthrough Maths, we understand the commitment that comes with playing hockey. Many young players at Wilmslow HC spend several evenings each week training, with weekends dedicated to matches, tournaments and club events. Through our live online 11+ Preparation, GCSE Maths and A-Level Maths programmes, we’ve helped hundreds of students each week achieve their academic goals. Our partnership with Wilmslow HC reflects a shared commitment to helping young people succeed both on the pitch and in the classroom. By providing flexible online maths tuition that fits around hockey, we’re making it easier for club families to support both sporting and academic ambitions throughout the school year.
As a Wilmslow Hockey Club member, you’ll receive exclusive access to our discounted online maths programmes. Whether your child is preparing for the 11+, studying GCSE Maths or working towards A-Level Maths, our live online classes are designed to fit around training sessions and family life. Members can attend up to four live classes each week, revisit lessons through our recording library and follow a structured programme designed to deliver consistent progress. It’s a flexible approach that gives Wilmslow HC families access to high-quality online maths tuition without compromising their commitment to hockey.

Helps your child develop the maths skills and confidence needed for grammar school entrance exams through structured live lessons, mock tests and weekly practice.
GCSE
Live online classes covering the full GCSE curriculum, with four lessons each week, recorded classes and regular testing to help students stay on top of Maths.
A-Level
Expert-led online classes covering the key A-Level topics, helping students master challenging concepts step-by-step to prepare for Maths with confidence.
