Algebra is the foundation for so much of Maths, and gaps here tend to follow students into every year.
In this 1-hour interactive masterclass, we’ll break down the core Algebra skills, show students the methods behind common question types and help them understand what to do when a question doesn’t look familiar.
Algebra has a habit of turning up everywhere in Maths.
A student can move on from the Algebra chapter, but they don’t really move on from Algebra. It comes back in graphs, functions, geometry, trigonometry and eventually calculus.
This is where we see students getting caught. They might understand the new topic perfectly well, but lose the question because they can’t rearrange an equation, simplify an expression or confidently work with variables.
That’s why we put such a big emphasis on getting Algebra right. We help you get the foundations right now, so their Maths gets easier to build on.

Patrick Duignan
Patrick Duignan is doing a master’s in finance at Imperial College London. He’s super calm when teaching and makes the hardest topics seem easy.
Patrick leads our GCSE Masterclasses.

Gabriel Singleton
Gabriel is studying Mathematics at the University of Manchester and has a real passion for problem-solving. He’s friendly, down-to-earth and knows how to explain tricky ideas simply.
A great fit for our A-Level students.
I’d encourage you to make the most of our free resources already available. Whether your child needs help understanding a topic or simply wants more practice, these resources can be worked through at their own pace and revisited whenever needed.
Our classes are taught in groups.
The student can only see the teacher. They interact only with the teacher. Students can get down to concentrating on their work. The teacher answers questions throughout the class.
The Masterclass is 1-hour long.
Yes, the students can ask questions. It is a group class, but students can ask questions in the chat function and the tutors hang on after class for more questions and 1-1 feedback.
Don’t worry, our tutors are well-equipped to teach children of all learning abilities and levels.
We’ve been teaching for years now and have dealt with hundreds of kids with learning difficulties. We take our time with them and make sure they get the extra attention that they need.
Please note: this is a fast-paced revision focused on Algebra, rather than our slower-paced weekly tutoring format.
The Masterclass is completely free to join.
Yes. Every class is recorded and sent out to attendees after the masterclass. You can access the recording here.
